"I love sweet dog stories, but this one isn't that. This book is profound, not only showing the bond between humans and their dogs, but the fact that it goes far beyond that. I didn't expect each story to grab me. I loved the fact that some were written from the dog's point of view. People think they rescue dogs, when in fact, THEY are the ones rescued. A dog not only enriches your life, sometimes he or she actually SAVES it, physically, emotionally, whether you thought you needed it or not. I will be rereading this book, recommending it to others. Give yourself the gift of a wonderful book by a caring, insightful author."
